Burney, California – The Pit River Indians have a varied material culture in response to great variation in elevation, climate, and vegetation of their homeland. In the west Mount Shasta, 14,162 feet, and Lassen peak, 10,466 feet, serves as the northwest and southwest corners of Pit River Indian territory.

Recent upgrades to the exterior and to the interior layout of the casino floor has increased traffic and created a higher level of tobacco smoke and odor issues. The tribal council contracted Casino Air to design and install an upgrade in air quality incorporating state of the art air filtration technology.
